Frequently asked questions

We welcome infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children. Because Little Pomegranates is a licensed family childcare program, availability depends on your child's age and our current group. Please contact us to check openings and schedule a tour.

Absolutely. Little Pomegranates is a licensed Maryland family childcare program, and your child's safety is always our priority. We maintain a clean, supervised environment, follow safe-sleep practices for infants, use authorized pick-up procedures, and follow established health and emergency policies.

Each family has a group text with the parents and daycare providers for daily communication and important updates. For children up to 24 months old, we also provide a daily report with meals, naps, diaper changes, and activities.

Before enrollment, families will need to complete the required childcare forms, including the Health Inventory, immunization records, Emergency Card, enrollment/contract forms, Lead Addendum, and applicable permission forms. If your child has allergies, medication needs, an IFSP, IEP, or other special care requirements, we will review those with you before your child begins care.

We know that starting daycare is a big change, especially for young children. We give each child time to adjust at their own pace while providing consistent routines, familiar caregivers, affection, reassurance, and individual attention. Our small family-daycare environment helps children build strong relationships and feel that Little Pomegranates is a second home.

Every child develops differently, so we adjust activities and support to each child's age, interests, abilities, and developmental needs. Our program combines play, art, music, stories, outdoor activities, movement, and hands-on learning. We use Maryland early-learning guidance and regular developmental observations to help each child grow socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and in communication skills.
